The glass
Why are there bubbles in my vase?
Because it is recycled glass, blown by hand. Small trapped bubbles, faint striations and a wall that is thicker on one side than the other are inherent to the material and the method. A factory would reject them. We would rather you had the glass than the uniformity.
Will the colour fade or scratch off?
No. The colour is in the glass itself, not a coating or a spray, so there is nothing on the surface to wear away. It will look the same in ten years as it does now.
Why does the same colour look different in two photos?
Because the glass is translucent and the wall thickness changes around the body. Smoked amber goes close to honey with sun behind it and close to black in a dim corner. Rockpool green reads almost grey where the wall is thin. That shift is the piece doing its job, not a fault.
Is every piece identical to the photograph?
No. Tint, bubble pattern and wall thickness vary between pieces, and on the Drift range the profile itself varies because the sides are slumped by hand. Dimensions on every product page are marked approximate for the same reason.
Using them
Are they watertight?
Yes, all twelve. Every piece is filled with water and checked before it is packed.
How many stems will a Fen vase take?
Three or four. The neck is deliberately narrow, which means stems stand upright without a frog or tape, but a full market bunch will not go in. If you want a vase for a big loose bunch, take a Drift instead — the mouth is wide enough to drop flowers straight in.
Which one is best if I am not going to put flowers in it?
The Drift tall or the Fen round. Both are shapes that read as objects on their own, and flowers tend to hide what is interesting about them. The Rill large works the same way at floor scale.
Is the tall Drift stable?
On a flat, solid surface, yes. It is 73 cm on a 34 cm footprint, so it is not the right choice for a narrow hallway table, a wobbly plant stand, or a house with a large dog. A few inches of water in the base steadies it considerably.
Can I put one outside?
For an afternoon, yes. Not permanently: frost is the enemy, and if water freezes inside a vase the glass will crack.
Ordering
How do you pack something 73 cm tall?
Double-walled carton, suspended in moulded pulp and foam so the glass does not touch the box. Large pieces ship one to a carton.
What if it arrives broken?
Email info@jarevion.com with a photo of the piece and the carton within seven days and we will replace it. You do not need to send the broken one back.

Can I return something I simply do not like?
Yes, within 30 days, unused and in its original packaging. Return shipping is yours unless the piece arrived damaged or we sent the wrong one. See the refund policy.
